My Himachal is an award Award winning, tax exempt (501(c)(3)) in USA and a registered NGO under Himachal Pradesh Societies Registration Act 2006 in India. It is a Charitable, Non-profit, Non-governmental organization, made up of people of Himachal origin and friends of Himachal Pradesh worldwide. Our primary goal is to help the poorer and deprived residents of the state of Himachal Pradesh, India by assisting in rebuilding their material lives and/or improving their health, living and educational conditions without any distinction of, race, religion, sex, and opinion. Our mission is also to preserve Himachal culture, promote, support and expand social and economic interests of Himachal Pradesh and its people worldwide.

Himachal Pradesh is a state in the north-west of India. Himachal Pradesh is spread over 55,673 square kilometres (21,495 sq mi) and is bordered by the Indian states of Jammu and Kashmir on north, Punjab on west and south-west, Haryana on south, Uttarakhand on south-east and by Tibet area of China on the east. The literal meaning of Himachal Pradesh is Land of snowy mountains. The state is located in altitudes ranging from 450 metres (1,476 ft) to 6,500 metres (21,325 ft) above sea level. Being mountainous state and surrounded by Himalayas, the terrain and climate is rugged.

Himachal Pradesh is a hilly area and because of its peripheral location, this state is neglected in terms of development. The state has a disadvantage of a weak economic and institutional base, and a low level of catalytic skills of the people to provide services such as education, medical and health. Despite the concerted developmental efforts of Indian Government and Himachal Government the state lacks in most of developmental mile stones and economic condition of the state ranks poor as compared to the neighboring states.

My Himachal through collection of funds and utilizing volunteer services of Indian and foreign physicians aims to help Child Health care and Nutritional Education in remote villages of Himachal Pradesh. A second aim of My Himachal is to provide financial aid for the education of poorer students.

Each year, My Himachal joins hands with Indian and foreign physicians to provide child health care and nutritional education in remote villages of Himachal Pradesh. My Himachal also provide scholarships to poor and deserving students every year. Besides these activities My Himachal has also been instrumental in providing basic health care and nutritional training to local women in rural Himachal. My Himachal in association with students from SP Jain Institute of Management of Research (Mumbai) has carried out studies on various issues like “health of the traditional Kullu weaving industry”,"Information technology education in government institutions" and "Eco Tourism in Great Himalayan National Park" revealing startling facts on these issues. My Himachal makes recommendations to the local government on the bases of these studies, leading to a swift action by the government.
